THE PRAYER OF GRATITUDE

Our God, the source of all good, I thank you that, through your love, you gave the Blessed Jerzy Popiełuszko the dignity of priesthood. You sent him to eagerly spread your word, to administer the Holy Sacraments, to act intrepidly i Your Name and to always be close to every human being, calling for forgiveness, unity and peace. You granted him the grace of martyrdom, by which he become like Jesus Christ on the Way of the Cross.

We adore you and thank you, our Lord, for this great gift for the Church, and especially for making him the intermedialy in the distribution of grace. In your infinite mercy, please let him join the Community of your Saints and grant me through his intercession the grace............. I am asking for in confidence.

PREGHIERA DI RINGRAZIAMENTO 

Mio Signore, fonte di ogni bene, Ti ringrazio per aver donato, nel tuo amore, la dignità del servizio sacerdotale al Beato Padre Jerzy Popieluszko. Tu lo mandasti a diffondere con ardore la Tua parola, ad amministrare i Sacramenti, ad agire con coraggio nel Tuo nome e ad essere sempre vicino ad ogni persona, chiedendo perdono, unità e pace. Tu gli concedesti la grazia del martirio, attraverso cui egli diventò simile a Tuo Figlio Cristo Gesù sulla via della croce.

Ti adoro e Ti ringrazio, mio Dio, per questo dono che Tu hai fatto alla Tua Chiesa, e specialmente per aver reso padre Jerzy mio intermediario presso di Te nella distribuzione della Tua grazia. Nella Tua infinita misericordia Ti prego di ammetterlo nella comunità dei santi e di concedermi, per la sua intercessione, la grazia............. per la quale Ti prego.

Per Gesù Cristo, nostro Signore. Amen.

Mon Dieu, la source de toute bonté, je te remercie pour la dignité du sacerdoce que dans ton amour tu as offerte à bienheureux prêtre Jerzy Popiełuszko. Tu l’as envoyé prêcher ta Parole avec zèle, distribuer tes saints sacrements, agir bravement en ton Nom. Tu as voulu qu’il ait toujours été près de chaque homme et qu’il ait appelé au pardon, à l’unité et à la paix. Tu lui as donné la grâce du martyre qui l’a fait ressembler au Christ sur son chemin de croix.

Nous te louons et te remercions, notre Seigneur, pour ce grand don que tu as offert à l’Eglise, surtout pour faire du prètre Jerzy notre intercesseur dans la distributions des grâces. Dans ton infinie miséricorde, daigne l’inclure au nombre de tes saints et accorde-moi, par son intercession, la grâce de............. ce que je te prie avec confiance.

Dios, Fuente de Todo Bien, te doy las gracias por haber regalado en Tu amor la dignidad sacerdotal al. Beato Jerzy Popiełuszko. Lo mandaste a pregonar con celo Tu Palabra, a prodigar los santos sacramentos, a actuar intrépidamente en Tu Nombre y a estar siempre cerca de cada hombre, llamendo al perdón, a la unidad y a la paz. Tú lo obsequiaste con la gracia del martirio por lo cual se hizo semejante al. Cristo del Vía Crucis.

Te adoramos y te agradecemos, Señor, por ese gran don para la Iglesia, y en especial por hacerle mediador para repartir las gracias. En Tu infinita misericordia ten a bien incluirlo al séquito de santos, y a mí, por su intercession, dame la gracia............. que te pido con confianza.
